Tokyo Monorail will change the train type from regular trains to sectional rapid trains and airport rapid trains during certain hours from August 9 to 18.
The weekday schedule will be changed on August 9 and 13-16. On the down trains, some 7:00 a.m. regular trains will be changed to sectional rapid trains. The sectional rapid trains will overtake the preceding local trains, which is not the case in the regular schedule. For the up trains, some 17:00 and 18:00 regular trains will be changed to sectional rapid trains, and the 18:00 and 19:00 sectional rapid trains will be changed to airport rapid trains.
The Saturday and holiday schedule will be changed on August 10-12, 18, and 18. Some regular trains in the 17:00-19:00 up and 18:00-19:00 down service will be changed to Airport Rapid.
Between Monorail Hamamatsucho Station and Haneda Airport Terminal 2 Station, the change from a local train to a sectional rapid train will shorten the travel time by up to approximately 3 minutes, from a local train to an airport rapid train by up to approximately 7 minutes, and from a sectional rapid train to an airport rapid train by up to approximately 3 minutes.
