Disney’s “The Lion King” collaboration with Balmain! Why not celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film’s release with a wild outfit?

Fashion brand Balmain has launched “Disney x Balmain: The Lion King Collection” to commemorate the Disney movie “The Lion King” and “Mufasa: The Lion King” scheduled for release in December. The “BALMAINxThe Lion King Pop-up” is currently being held at Isetan Shinjuku Men’s Building on the 6th floor from July 17 to 23.

The collection consists of ready-to-wear and accessories. The designs are inspired by African craftsmanship and incorporate pieces created by a new generation of artists with deep ties to the area.

The “Nika Mtwana Print Loose Fit T-Shirt” (124,300 yen), perfect for a wild look, features Simba and his friends reflected in sunglasses. The “Sunset Print Loose Fit T-Shirt” (85,800 yen), which brings back memories of a scene from the movie, is just one of the many unique pieces available. Other items in the lineup include hoodies, shirts, jackets, and cargo pants.

There is also a full lineup of accessories. The Enfant Précoce Print Cap (69,300 yen), with its soft drawings, and the 1945 Soft Enfant Précoce Print Tote Bag (433,400 yen) can be used for everything from light casual summer outfits to classic, formal outfits. In conjunction with the launch of this collection, a short film co-produced with Disney is also being shown.
