NEXCO East Japan Hokkaido Branch will close the Hokkaido Expressway (E5) and the East Hokkaido Expressway (E38) to traffic during the night from August 19 to October 17, and lane restrictions will be in effect on the Hokkaido Expressway from August 19 to November 29.
The nighttime closures on the Hokkaido Expressway and the East Hokkaido Expressway from August 19 to October 17 are due to repair work on areas where cracks and bumps in the pavement surface are noticeable. The sections and dates are as follows (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). The tollgate is closed at night, so please allow extra time for your departure and use the detour route.
