With summer vacation finally in full swing, NEXCO companies are offering unlimited expressway travel plans that can be used for trips and excursions. This report introduces NEXCO East Japan’s “Dora-wari,” a round trip discount, NEXCO Central Japan’s “Hayatabi,” a round trip pass, and NEXCO West Japan’s “Michibi,” a driving plan.
Both are available only for ETC vehicles, and although they are not available during busy traffic periods such as Obon and Silver Week, some courses may offer a discount of approximately 4 yen off the regular (weekday) fare.
Plans include round-trip fares to/from the excursion area, plans with special offers that can be used at tourist facilities and restaurants, and plans limited to AIRDO passengers and MOL Sunflower passengers.
Applications for each plan are accepted through the website, and in the event that a trip is suddenly cancelled, changes and cancellations can be made up to the last minute, and no cancellation fees are required.
Some plans are offered as “ETC Mileage Service Point Plus Campaign,” offering points equivalent to 15% of each charge for weekday use only (advance registration with ETC Mileage Service is required).
