NTT Urban Development and UD Hospitality Management announced that the hotels Capella Kyoto and Patina Osaka are scheduled to open in 2025. Both hotels will be operated by the Capella Hotel Group, which is entering Japan for the first time, and managed by UDHM.
Capella Kyoto (130 Komatsu-cho, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, and other lot numbers) will be constructed as part of the “Former Shinmichi Elementary School Site Utilization Plan,” about a four-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Main Line. The hotel will have approximately 220 standard guest rooms of 50m2 or more, including rooms with balconies, a spa and fitness area, a sky lobby, restaurants, and a banquet hall that can accommodate MICE.
In addition, the development of the Houenzaka Kita Specific Area, which includes the hotel, is being promoted to create a green space and pedestrian space connecting Osaka Castle Park and Naniwanomiya Ato Park.
