Fuji Dream Airlines announced the renewal of cabin crew uniforms designed by Junko Koshino on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of its flight service. The uniforms will be introduced in September 2024 or later.
While keeping in line with the company’s philosophy of being a “regional airline connecting local regions to regional areas,” the concept is “change, challenge, leap, and refinement for a new era.
The fabric is made of partially plant-derived polyester fiber that can be recycled after wear. The uniform style is selectable between skirt and pants, and features a cut-and-sewn inner lining with an image of a tail fin and a “stole,” the first of its kind on a domestic airline. In addition, the apron has been changed to a collared type.
The striking contrast between the corporate color, dream red, and charcoal gray is said to incorporate the “beauty of opposites” advocated by Junko Koshino and the “asymmetry” favored in Japanese culture.
