On July 22, Hokkaido Airport announced the results of the “New Chitose Airport Soft Ice Cream General Election 2024” held at New Chitose Airport (Sapporo).
More than 30 stores will participate in the contest, and users will vote to select the top three in the “rich,” “refreshing,” and “unique flavor” categories, respectively.
Kinotoya New Chitose Airport Store “Gokujo Milk Soft” (450 yen) won first place in the thick category for the second year in a row since the category system was introduced. The top three in the refreshing category were the same as in 2023, with Snow Brand Parlor Food Court Store’s Airport Soft (440 yen) also winning first place for the second year in a row.
In the individual flavor category, there were many entries and it was a close race, but Wakasaimo “An-Potato Soft” (450 yen) moved up from 2nd place in FY2023 to take 1st place.
