The Japan Hide-and-Seek Association and Job Live will hold “Deserted Island Hide-and-Seek 2024” on Tsumagashima Island, Nagasaki Prefecture, from November 2 to 4.

One hundred men and women, university students and above, will be recruited as participants on a special website starting August 25. Japanese representatives of the Hide-and-Seek World Championships and former members of the Self-Defense Forces are scheduled to participate.

A total of 100 people participate in the hide-and-seek game, including 10 ogres and 90 people who hide, with those who are found turning into ogres. Awards are given based on a point system that takes into account who hides until the end, the ogres who find the most people, and the length of time they hide.

After hide-and-seek is over, a desert island BBQ will be held, and visitors can enjoy a clay pipe bath and desert island camping. The next morning, the event will continue until the raft is built and the participants escape from the deserted island.
