BROOKLYN OUTDOOR COMPANY JAPAN launched an auto-inflating air mat that inflates faster and harder than conventional products and a pump-type auto-inflating pillow.
The Self-Inflating 80 Sleeping Pad is an inflating mat that focuses on urethane to provide more stability than a 10 cm mat while remaining 8 cm thick. It has insulation properties (R-value 6.0) that can withstand temperatures as low as -20°C, and uses lightweight 75D fabric and strong 150D fabric on the front and back sides.
It automatically inflates to 80-90% in about 2-3 minutes. If it is not hard enough, it can be adjusted by connecting a pump-type automatic air intake pillow to the valve. A check valve is attached to the valve to prevent air from flowing back when stored. It measures 60 x 190 x 8 cm (width x length x height) and 22 x 60 cm (diameter x length) when folded. It weighs approximately 2.3 kg and is priced at 7,980 yen.
