ZIPAIR Tokyo will begin selling rice as an optional service for flights departing from Narita Airport to Singapore, the U.S., and Vancouver, with reservations starting at 12:00 p.m. on July 25 for flights departing on August 1 and later.

This initiative, realized in cooperation with JAL Cargo Service, allows customers to purchase Akita Komachi from Akita Prefecture of the JA Zen-Noh Group and Tako rice from Tako Corporation, which operates a roadside station in Tako Town, Chiba Prefecture.

Users place their orders on the official ZIPAIR website at least 72 hours prior to the departure of their flight, pick them up at the JALABC baggage pickup counter at Narita on the day of departure, and check them in as baggage at the ZIPAIR check-in counter.

Akita Komachi is priced at 7,000 yen for 5 kg and 13,000 yen for 10 kg, while Tako rice is priced at 5,000 yen for 3 kg, 9,000 yen for 6 kg, and 12,000 yen for 9 kg.
