This highly versatile mount combines three essential tools in one: a lightweight tripod function, arm, and grip. It can be said that this is an indispensable mount that can be used in all kinds of situations with just one.
Secures GoPro by clamping it between objects up to 5 cm in length. The flexible neck allows the GoPro to be fixed at any angle. The neck can also be removed and the GoPro can be installed discreetly by attaching it directly to the clamp.
Can be used to secure a GoPro to fences, tree branches, and other irregular locations. Ideal for shapes that cannot be clamped with the aforementioned clamps.
Pictured is a hand strap. It is used to quickly attach the GoPro to your hand or wrist. The base rotates 360 degrees and has a tilt function for greater flexibility in shooting angles.

Although it was not used in this experience, it can be placed in the mouth for hands-free filming. The silicone mouthpiece allows the user to obtain images close to what they see in any environment without interfering with breathing.
Note that the photo shows the HERO12 Black with the Max Lens Modular 2.0, which was released with the introduction of the HERO12 Black. With this lens attached, ultra-wide angle 4K60fps images can be obtained.
Now, back to “GoPro Summer Travel”.
On the second day, the group experienced “Sky Activity,” a zip line that is the centerpiece activity at Nesta Resort Kobe (894-60 Taruho, Hosokawa-cho, Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture), and an authentic 4-wheel buggy.
This zipline is an activity that allows visitors to experience what it is like to fly, gliding at speeds of up to 75 km/h over a length of 560 meters with a height difference of 57 meters while in a prone position.
Of course, normally, filming with a GoPro or similar device is not allowed, but this time, with special permission, we mounted the GoPro on the 3-Way 2.0 and also taped it tightly to the wrist and the mount. The lens was a Max Lens Modular 2.0. Ultra-wide angle footage was shot in 4K. We hope you can feel a part of the power of this zip line.
The final activity of the two-day event was the “Climbing Tour,” a mountain baby carriage that can be driven off-road on a full-scale 4-wheel baby carriage. The video shows the exhilaration of driving through the mountains on a fully open-cabin ATV.
This video has two GoPros mounted. The roll bar behind the seat has a flexible grip mount for a front view. On the front roll bar, a JAWS flex clamp was used to film himself and his passenger. The ATV’s violent swaying did not faze the GoPros, and they remained firmly in place.
I used the GoPro HERO12 Black for two days, but the stills camera I use for reporting on a day-to-day basis was not in the picture. I was worried that a stills photographer would be almost unarmed, using only the GoPro, but the GoPro HERO12 Black did its job well enough.
I used the GoPro Quik app to edit all the footage after returning home, and even as a complete beginner, I managed to get it into shape in an hour or two. Of course, if I could master the app even more, I would be able to produce even higher quality footage. But even before that, depending on the ingenuity of the shooting stage of the material, more interesting images could have been obtained.
Lee Soo-Hong, Senior Marketing Manager of GoPro, who provided support throughout the event, explained why he chose GoPro over other action cameras: “The beauty of GoPro is that it can be used in any environment. For example, other companies’ cameras with gimbals are very good for taking VLOGs in daily life. Our GoPro started out for action sports such as surfing. The best thing about GoPro is that it can be used for a variety of activities.” He added, “With the Corona Disaster, we were unable to appeal to old GoPro users about the evolution of GoPro. In the future, we hope that as many old GoPro users and the younger generation as possible will learn about the advantages of the new GoPro.
Until now, the author has only taken videos as notes for interviews, and has been content to use a smartphone! I had no trouble using my smartphone to take videos. In fact, I had no inconvenience with the videos from my smartphone. This was because I was unaware of the potential of action cameras, and I am ashamed of my ignorance.
As a photographer, I cannot shake off my resistance to posting a cutout from a video as a photo, and I still want to take pride in taking the shutter as a photographer. However, it is also true that in some situations, a video or a photo clipped from a video may be more effective in conveying the message to the reader. From now on, I will be taking the GoPro HERO12 Black with me when I do interviews.
After returning home from a two-day overnight interview, I stopped by the airport on my way home from my next interview and quickly shot my own photo shoot scene with the GoPro HERO12 Black. The camera was mounted on a JAWS flex clamp on the fence. After returning home, I used the dedicated app “Quik” to easily edit the photos taken with my camera into the footage taken with the GoPro HERO12 Black, and I hope you enjoy it.
