JAL will offer the “JAL Exciting Passport” service for JAL Mileage members from August 1.
In exchange for 10,000 miles, members can obtain the right to use leisure facilities valid for 180 days. The program covers more than 300 facilities nationwide (as of July 30), ranging from amusement parks and aquariums to professional sports facilities, and members can invite up to five family members or friends as “members.
To use some facilities, “JAL Waku Waku Coins” that are acquired at the same time as the passport are required (when inviting members, coins for the number of members are required), and the system also allows additional coins to be added by direct exchange from miles. The number of coins acquired at the start of the service is 570 coins, but will be reduced to 600 coins if redeemed by August 31, 2012. The validity period of the coins is the same as that of the passport.
Reservations can be made in advance through the website, and then the QR code can be scanned at the facility counter and confirmed by a staff member.
