The Ajiro Onsen Tourist Association is offering a special plan for guests staying in the Ajiro Onsen area of Atami City that includes transportation to and from the “Atami Marine Fireworks Festival” with guaranteed seats for special viewing.

The Atami Marine Fireworks Festival is held more than 15 times not only in summer but also throughout the year, and the unique topography of Atami, surrounded by mountains on three sides, makes it possible to enjoy a spectacular fireworks display in which the sound reverberates like a stadium. The finale, “Great Niagara in the Sky,” is a silver-colored starmine that fills the night sky from the 7.5-meter quay of the Atami Port to the sea fishing facilities.

The August dates are the 5th, 8th, 18th, and 23rd, and the launch time is from 8:20pm to 8:45pm each day. The Ajiro Onsen Tourist Association is offering a limited number of special seats for overnight guests, so please check with your lodging facility (as of August 2). Some facilities have their own viewing plans.

Also on August 16, the “Ajiro Onsen Marine Fireworks Festival” will be held in Ajiro Bay. National Route 135 will be turned into a pedestrian zone and approximately 3,000 fireworks will be shot off.
