JALPAK has produced a commemorative magazine “JALPAK no Arukikata” in tie-up with “Chikyu no Arukikata” to mark the 60th anniversary of the JALPAK brand. Starting today, August 7, the magazine will be carried on JAL’s domestic Airbus A350-900 aircraft on its inaugural routes. It will also be carried on Japan-Honolulu routes from September 1.
In January 1965, JALPAC became the first Japanese company to launch overseas package tours. Jalapak teamed up with “Globe-Trotter,” a company that has supported Japan’s travel industry, to conduct interviews with the guidebook’s editorial staff.
The 28-page book introduces the people who work for Jalpak, including the story behind the commercialization of the annual “Hatsuhinode Hatsufuji Flight” and the tour conductor’s close three-week stay with the company.
The cover features a hand-drawn illustration familiar from Chikyu-no Arukikata. It is also the largest A4 size guidebook in the series’ history. The guidebook can not only be read on board, but can also be taken home with you. The guidebook is available for the following periods and routes
