JR West has announced the sales outline of “Dice Ticket from Osaka” for the fall of 2024. The price is 5,000 yen for departures from Monday through Thursday and 8,000 yen for departures from Friday through Sunday.
The ticket allows round-trip use of a reserved seat on a Shinkansen or limited express train from a station in Osaka City to a randomly displayed destination.
This season, the event will be sold by credit card, including the entry fee, and the number of tickets sold will be limited as a maximum of 25,000 pairs. First, advance lottery applications will be accepted (free of charge) through the WESTER portal from August 26 to September 8. Winners will be able to enter and purchase tickets for 4,500 yen per person and use them for two consecutive days between September 28 and November 24. Tickets can be purchased for up to three people.
The ticketed destinations are Toyama, Shirahama, Tsuyama, and Hakata, and the chances of winning are 1/3 for Toyama and Tsuyama, 2/9 for Shirahama, and 1/9 for Hakata. The number of seats available with the ticket is limited for each train.
