JR East Cross Station Foods Company will open a new type of restaurant, “Nihachi Soba Soba Kyo Ka” in the Harmony Road Shopping Arcade at Sengawa Station on the Keio Line on August 26.
In the elegant Japanese-modern atmosphere of the restaurant, the signature dish, nihachi-soba, is served with a special soba-tsuyu (buckwheat sauce) made from honkare-bushi (dried bonito flakes). The soba noodles, developed in-house, are characterized by their rich flavor and firmness, and can be enjoyed freshly boiled and deep-fried “Tenmori-Soba” (1,380 yen), as well as “Ebi-tendon Set” and “Loose Katsu-don Set” (1,080 yen each) during lunch time.
In the evening, the restaurant recommends enjoying “soba mae” (buckwheat noodle appetizers) with fried prawns, kashiwa, cheese, fresh vegetables, etc. (from 170 yen) or “soba ko no dashimaki tamago” (680 yen) with sake, and finish with nihachi soba (buckwheat noodles). In addition, the restaurant also offers a lineup of dishes such as Suzuhiro’s Ita Wasa and Japanese fresh-caught conger eel tempura.
