Villa Fontaine and JAL will add three new novelty stickers to the collaboration room at Sumitomo Fudosan Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport (2-7-1 Haneda Airport, Ota-ku, Tokyo), a hotel directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3, starting August 24.
The stickers feature the catchphrase “WINGS OF THE NEW JAPAN” and a design by Iku Nagai, and are a reprint of a 70-year-old design that was used as an in-flight novelty distribution promotion. Each passenger can choose one of his/her favorite design per night at the time of check-in.
The campaign also includes a drawing for 50 upcycled cushion covers created from surplus raw fabric used in the first generation “Class J” seats.
The drawing will be conducted by stickers selected at the time of check-in, and the lucky winner will receive a cushion cover on the spot.
A total of 24 collaboration rooms are available, with “red, black, and white” as the basic color scheme, inspired by the JAL cabin. Rates start at 18,150 yen per room for two people. Novelties such as tote bags, collaborative neck straps, and luggage tags are included.
