JR East Smart Logistics will open in advance the “Multie Cube WEB site” where users can search and reserve multifunctional lockers “Multie Cube”. Use of the site will begin on September 2.
The Multi-Ecube is a multi-functional locker with four functions: reservation, deposit, pickup, and shipping, with usage fees starting at 400 yen for an S size, 500 yen for an M size, and 700 yen for an L size.
After completing membership registration on the website, members pay a reservation fee (500 yen) in addition to the usage fee, and can reserve any of the 216 MULTI-ECUBES (as of the end of July 2024) at Tokyo Station, Shinjuku Station, and other stations in total. There is no membership registration fee for regular members.
Reservations are made on a daily basis and available from the first train to the last train. The maximum reservation period is three consecutive days. Reservations can be made one month in advance.
In addition, a “premium membership” system will be introduced, under which members will pay 500 yen per month to receive benefits such as free reservations.
