On August 26, JR Tokai updated information on the Tokaido Shinkansen operation plan due to the approach of Typhoon No. 10. Due to changes in the typhoon’s forecast, there is a possibility that all or some sections of the line may be closed or suspended for a certain period between August 29 and 31.
The service on August 27-28, which was initially announced to be affected by the typhoon, is scheduled to operate as normal, but there may be extended suspensions due to sudden changes in weather conditions caused by the approaching typhoon.
Since many passengers are expected before and after the planned shutdown period (August 28 and September 1), we encourage passengers to reserve their reserved seats in advance before coming to the station.
Ticket changes and refunds for August 27-31 will be accepted free of charge.
