JAL announced information on flight cancellations due to the approach of Typhoon No. 10 at 11:00 a.m. on August 28, 2011.
On the 28th, 112 domestic flights to/from Miyazaki, Kagoshima, Tanegashima, Yakushima, Kikaijima, Amami-Oshima, Tokunoshima, Okinoerabu, Yoron, etc. were cancelled. For international flights, 6 flights to/from Centrair (Chubu) and Kansai International Airport were cancelled.
On the 29th, 60 domestic flights to/from Yamaguchi-Ube, Matsuyama, Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Oita, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, Tanegashima, Yakushima, etc. will be cancelled. International flights will not be affected.
There is currently no detailed information on flight cancellations or delays on the 30th, but flights to and from Tajima, Oki, Okayama, Izumo, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi Ube, Tokushima, Takamatsu, Kochi, Matsuyama, Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Oita, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, Tanegashima, Yakushima, etc. are likely to be affected.
For flights expected to be affected by the typhoon (August 28-30), changes (transfers) and refunds will be accepted without charge. Please check the “Flight Status Information” on the official website for the applicable airports.
