Uber Japan launched its “Uber Taxi” vehicle dispatch service in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture, on August 28. This is the second such service offered in the prefecture, following Narita City.
Urayasu City is home to many facilities such as the Tokyo Disney Resort, nearby hotels and shopping malls, and the recent increase in the number of foreign tourists in particular has increased the need for cab dispatch in the vicinity of Maihama and Urayasu Stations. The launch of this new service is in response to this background.
