Ryohin Keikaku’s MUJI will launch “MUJI Labo” with a new product composition and material concept, starting with products for the 2024 fall/winter season. The launch date is October 11, and the products will be available at some MUJI stores (18 stores) and online stores.
The laboratory pursues MUJI’s basic garment making, and has been operating mainly in large stores in Japan and overseas since 2005. 2024 fall/winter season will see the company reexamine the origins of garment making and further evolve its approach.
Products for the 2024 fall/winter season include the “Cashmere Blended Chester Coat (men’s)” (29,900 yen), which uses recycled cashmere blend, and the “Natural Unbleached Color Cashmere Crew Neck Sweater (women’s)” (17,900 yen), which uses cashmere that has been finished without dyeing or bleaching.
In addition, on October 11, MUJI will open “MUJI Daikanyama” (1F Daikanyama Plaza, 24-7 Sarugaku-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), which expresses the “MUJI Labo” worldview. Business hours will be 11:00-19:00, and the lifestyle goods area is scheduled to open on November 15.
