Samsonite Japan launched the TOIIS XP, a suitcase with features for outdoor use, from its own Samsonite Red brand on August 30.
The lineup includes the carry-on size “Spinner 55 EXP” (40,700 yen), the checked baggage size “Spinner 68 EXP” (45,100 yen), “Spinner 75 EXP” (49,500 yen), and “Trunk” (57,200 yen) in black, green and ivory, respectively.
The front of the suitcase can be used as a table when the suitcase is installed flat for road trips or camping meals. It also has an expandable feature that allows the capacity to be extended to all sizes.
The baggage-sized “Spinner 55 EXP” also comes with a hook on the outside of the main body, which can be used as a hanger pocket for tools for quick access if the divider with an interior zipper pocket is removed and hung. Furthermore, the divider can be used not only as a divider but also as a crossbody bag with a strap.
All but the Spinner 55 EXP have adjustable exterior straps that can be used to secure drink bottles and tools.
For stable movement, the rear wheels are designed with larger wheels with built-in ball bearings.
The collection name “TOIIS” stands for “Travel with Own Identity and Style” and is based on the themes of canyons, deserts, and camping.
