Tokyo Metro will collaborate with Super Hotel to develop an additional building on a site adjacent to the existing Super Hotel JR Ikebukuro Nishiguchi (2-14-1 Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo), which will be connected to the new entrance and exit of Ikebukuro Station on the Fukutoshin Line.
The expansion will increase the number of guest rooms from 113 to 201, including a new type of guest room. The existing building will also be renovated to accommodate a variety of uses, including business use as well as family use.
The existing building and the expansion building will be connected on the second to fourth floors, and the front desk will be on the second floor of the expansion building from the existing building. The second floor of the extension will be expanded to include a lounge that will serve breakfast and offer a “welcome bar” where you can make your favorite drink.
In addition, a new entrance will be built to connect to Ikebukuro Station on the Fukutoshin Line, and an elevator will be installed to go to the ground to improve access to the station and Echika Ikebukuro, a commercial facility inside the station.
The museum is currently closed until December for renovation work.
