Project Summary
The technical cooperation project “Global ICT Industry Collaboration Promotion Project (Armenia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan)” aims to promote collaboration between Japanese companies and ICT companies (large companies, start-ups, etc.) in Armenia, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan (hereinafter “target countries”). The project will match Japanese companies with companies in the target countries and conduct pilot projects. Through this project, we will contribute to the development of both countries by promoting partnerships that leverage the respective strengths of Japan and the target countries.

Project Details
Under this program, Deloitte and Japan Development Service, the contractor, will support the organization of a matching and pilot project between ICT and high-tech companies in Armenia, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan and Japanese companies.
Business Matching
Matchmaking between the selected Japanese companies and local ICT companies (including large companies and startups) will be conducted, and initial business ideas that will serve as collaboration hypotheses will be conceived between the matched companies.
Pilot projects (Armenia and Pakistan only)
Pilot projects will be implemented for projects for which matching has been achieved and a highly concrete collaboration hypothesis has been formulated.
Delegation, participation in national events
We will organize participation in events held in both countries and promote further contact between companies from both countries through these events. In addition, we will promote the strengthening of relations between companies from the two countries through face-to-face meetings between companies from the target country and Japanese companies, including travel to both countries.
Training for companies in target countries
We provide training on Japanese culture, market, business customs, etc. for companies in target countries to facilitate smooth cooperation with Japanese companies.
Expenses
The project will cover the cost of the pilot project with local companies, which is estimated to be 2 million yen. *Limited to Armenia and Pakistan, where the pilot project is scheduled to be implemented.

Armenia
Although it is a small country with a population of about 3 million, it has a very developed high-tech industry (including ICT industry), originating from the development of IT industry during the Soviet era. In recent years, startups in the AI and B2B SaaS domains have emerged, and research and development of semiconductors is also very active.

Sri Lanka
With a population of approximately 20 million, the country has a very developed ICT industry, including the development of stock exchange platforms in Europe and the United States, as well as numerous examples of collaboration with companies in developed countries, including Japan.
Pakistan
With a population of approximately 220 million people, the country is a major exporter of outsourcing-related services in the ICT sector, and in recent years, startups in the ICT area such as AI, IoT, and AR/VR have sprung up.

Handling of Personal Information and Proposals
The purpose of use of personal information collected in this form is to ensure the smooth implementation of the project and to serve as a reference for the work carried out by JICA. Specifically, JICA will distribute and send out notices, mail magazines, and direct mail regarding events and activities in the project, information on JICA-related projects, and activities related to project support for private companies in other organizations. Depending on the content of the personal information collected, it may also be shared with the department in charge within JICA. The information collected in this form will be shared with JICA, the organizer of the project, Japan Development Service, Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory LLC, Deloitte Tohmatsu Venture Support, Strategy & Design Labo Co. Labo, which provides operational support for the project.
