Huis Ten Bosch (1-1 Huis Ten Bosch-cho, Sasebo, Nagasaki) will hold its 2024 Halloween Festival from September 13 to November 4.
The daytime and nighttime experiences will be different, with daytime events featuring Miffy and nighttime programs that bring fear to the forefront.
During the “Miffy and Melanie’s Happy Halloween Parade,” in which floats will travel around the park, a dancing time with Miffy and her friends will be held for the first time. Visitors can enjoy the sensation of participating in the parade while soap bubbles float in the air. In addition, “Ghost Miffy,” in which Miffy wears a sheet, will appear every day, and original goods such as plush toys will also be available.
At night, “Horned Halloween” will be held (except Tuesdays and Wednesdays), with the park decorated in eerie hues, and at 6:00 p.m., “dark messengers” will appear in the park, suddenly attacking guests and dancing in unison, among many other activities. Also, “Mission in Silence,” a mission-completion type maze specializing in horror, will make an appearance, allowing visitors to experience breaking the curse without making a sound.
In addition, “Halloween Night Fireworks” will be held mainly on Saturdays and Sundays. The “Spectacular Lantern Night Show,” in which lanterns are shot into the sky, will also be extended through Halloween.
Information on autumn gourmet foods is also available. In addition to dishes using autumn flavors such as “Rare salmon drier with melt-in-your-mouth eggplant – with plenty of prefectural mushrooms” and “Nagasaki Tsushima chicken and prefectural mushroom fricassee,” a “Halloween-style parfait” using Anno sweet potatoes and purple sweet potatoes will also be offered.
