Ryohin Keikaku has launched “MUJI room,” a new lodging project to create spaces within existing lodging facilities where guests can experience the world of MUJI.
As part of the project, MUJI room LIBER HOTEL will open on December 1. Reservations will begin on September 5. Rates start at 68,000 yen per room for two persons.
A total of 12 guest rooms will be created in Liebel Hotel Osaka (1-1-35 Sakurajima, Konohana-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture), three each of four room types from typeA to D. All types of rooms will use MUJI items for amenities, food amenities, bedding, etc.
Type A rooms are modeled after the “MUJI HOTEL GINZA” and are simple, wood-based spaces designed for ease of use and comfortable sleep. The rooms are said to have been devised to prepare the body and mind for travel.
The typeB room is a space based on tiles with the feel of earth. On a shelf separating the bedroom from the living room, folk art and crafts selected with IDÉE, an interior brand developed by Ryohin Keikaku, are displayed.
TypeA and B rooms come with a washing machine, a large refrigerator, and a mini-kitchen, allowing for medium- to long-term stays.
Type C rooms have bunk beds that can accommodate up to four people. Plain materials are used, such as wood and comfortable fabrics, as well as accent tiles.
Type D rooms are designed to accommodate up to six people with bunk beds and a spacious living room. They have a daybed to sit by the window with a view, and a large sofa for a relaxing stay with family and friends.
In addition, three “MUJI room SAKAMOTOYA” will open in February 2025 in SAKAMOTOYA (952 Yoshinoyama, Yoshino-cho, Yoshino-gun, Nara) in Yoshino-cho, Nara Prefecture. Details will be disclosed when reservations begin.
