Tokyu Plaza Kamata will hold the “4th Train Festival Running through Kamata” from September 20 to 29. Admission is free.
During the period, a large-scale railroad diorama will be displayed in the event space on the 7th floor, and uniforms of JR East and Tokyu Corporation will be displayed on the M2 floor. Visitors who present receipts of 1,000 yen or more at the museum (can be added up, but only for the same day) will be able to use the contents once, and there will be a Toyoko Line driving simulator, workshops for original train key chains, and other hands-on events. Goods will also be on sale at various locations, and until the 24th, a demonstration of how to make and sell Showa-era station name markers will be held.
Events limited to Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays include a mini diorama assembly class at Hasunuma Station (3,500 yen) and a train tour from the back yard (¥1,000 or more receipt required). Also, at the rooftop “Kamataen,” there will be events by JR and Tokyu station staff, a “Railway Celebrity Talk Show” featuring Takahiro Notsuki of SUPER BELL “Z and others, and a collaboration with “Sorakin Garden” to sell curry.
In addition, only on the 20th, station managers from JR, Tokyu, and Keihin Electric Express Railway will distribute limited-edition tickets and hold a scissors-entry event (for the first 100 visitors).
