Saitama-based craft beer maker COEDO will release “Saikyo Line 39th Anniversary Anniversary Beer” on September 20 to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the Saikyo Line. The price is 398 yen.
This beer was brewed at the Kawagoe Brewery, a two-minute walk from the west exit of Kawagoe Station, using a recipe devised jointly with JR Kawagoe Station. Using yuzu (a citrus fruit produced in Echizen-cho) as a secondary ingredient, the beer is characterized by its fruity, refreshing taste and golden color, and is easy to drink with an alcohol content of 3.5%.
It will go on sale in advance at NewDays Kawagoe Chuo and Seijo Ishii (Lumine Kawagoe) in conjunction with the “Train Exciting Station Staff Experience & Gourmet Fest in Kawagoe Station” event to be held at Kawagoe Station on September 28.
General sales will begin on September 30, with limited quantities available. Main sales locations are NewDays between Ikebukuro and Kawagoe stations, Foods Stage Kitano Fore (Ecute Omiya), Seijo Ishii (Lumine Omiya and Lumine Kawagoe), JRE MALL (Kawagoe City hometown tax returns), COEDOKIOSK, COEDO BREWERY THE RESTAURANT.
