H.I.S. Hotel Holdings has launched “Choco Ball Room” accommodation plans at 12 “Weird Hotels” and Watermark Hotel Kyoto. Rates start at 25,000 yen for a one-night stay with no meal and 26,500 yen with breakfast.
The guest rooms collaborated with Morinaga Seika’s “Choco Balls” and are decorated with the character “Kyoro-chan” from the walls to the beds and bathrooms. The hope is that guests will enjoy reminiscing with the confectionery, which is well-known among all generations.
Souvenirs for guests include two boxes and one carton (20 boxes) of “Choco Balls ” and a pamphlet on the history of Choco Balls, which can be taken home in a Kyoro-chan patterned paper bag.
