JAL announced that the first of its retired Boeing 777-300ER aircraft has left Japan.
Registered with JAL as JA734J (N3243P after retirement), it was received on July 26, 2005, arrived in Japan on July 28, 2005, and first commercial flight was in August 2005.
The last flight on JAL was JL52 (Sydney to Haneda) on August 20, 2024, and the company has flown a total of over 81,000 hours.
JAL is replacing the Boeing 777 with the Airbus A350-1000 as its international flagship aircraft, and on January 24, the first A350-1000 was launched on the Haneda-New York route (JL05/06), followed by the New York route (JL04/03) and the Dallas-Fort Worth route (JL11/12). JL11/12). The first A350-1000 will also be introduced on the London route (JL43/44).
