Kamogawa Sea World (1464-18 Higashimachi, Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture) will offer Japan’s only special program to feed killer whales and other animals, the “Enjoyable Experience” and “Enjoyable Accommodation Plan,” limited to eight people per day from October to November.
The “Full Experience” is open to fifth graders and up and includes a behind-the-scenes tour of “Tropical Island,” touching and feeding belugas, feeding stingrays and sharks, shaking hands and signing out to dolphins, shaking hands and feeding killer whales, an original poncho for the killer whale performance, admission fee and Lunch buffet at either the Sun Cruise or Mermaid restaurants is included. The fee is 18,000 yen for adult general participants and 16,000 yen for general participants from 5th grade to junior high school students; DDC members receive a 1,000 yen discount.
The “Full Experience” will be held on October 12, 19, 26, November 2, and 9, for a total of five days.
Reservations will be accepted via Google Form on the program details page from September 21 at 10:00 a.m. to September 25 at 4:00 p.m. If there are too many applicants, a drawing will be held. Winners will be notified by email after September 27.
Kamogawa Sea World Hotel will also begin accepting reservations for the “Enjoyable Stay Plan,” which combines a “fully enjoyable experience” with hotel accommodations, on its plan page from 10:00 a.m. on September 24, 2012.
The dates of the “Full Enjoyment Stay Plan” are October 14, 20, 27, November 4, and 10, for a total of five days.
