JAL launched the “DREAM MILES PASS” project.
Focusing on the financial burden of travel as a factor in the so-called “experience gap,” the program distributes airline tickets to “young dreamers” by drawing lots. Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers, with whom we have a support contract, has traveled 892,440 km in his career, and we will provide airline tickets for this distance.
JMB Japan members will also be asked to donate their miles, which will also be distributed as airline tickets, with a choice of 500/1000/3000 miles per unit, and participants will receive a digital wallpaper of Otani.
Project applicants become “Dreamers” and complete the application process by entering their dreams and desired departure and arrival destinations on the website and posting on X or Instagram. The winner will receive a round-trip ticket (any domestic or international flight, standard or economy class) on a JAL Group flight based on the information entered.
The first round of applications will be accepted from September 27 to October 31, and the boarding period will be from January 14 to June 30, 2025, with multiple rounds scheduled to take place over the next 2025 years.
As a symbol of the project, a specially painted “DREAM SHO JET” will be in service from September 29 until around March 2026. The aircraft will be an Airbus A350-900 (registration code: JA08XJ), and a total of six types of paper cups will be provided on board, as well as leaflets introducing the project.
