Tokai Kisen will operate a trial high-speed jet ship between Tokyo and Shimoda on November 18 and 19.

The downbound service departs from Tokyo (Takeshiba Pier) at 8:50 a.m. and arrives at Shimoda Port at exactly 11:00 a.m. The upbound service departs from Shimoda Port at 1:50 p.m. and arrives at Tokyo at exactly 4:00 p.m. The upbound service departs from Shimoda Port at 1:50 p.m. and arrives in Tokyo at 4:00 p.m. The company claims that the 2-hour and 10-minute trip is the shortest time required compared to other transportation services.

The fare is 7,500 yen one-way and 13,000 yen round-trip (half price for children). Reservations will be accepted at Tokai Kisen’s Customer Center (telephone number) from October 1.
