Monthly Airline November 2024 issue, featuring Kansai International Airport celebrating 30 years since opening

Posted on 2024-09-302024-11-03 by Editor in Chief

On September 30, Ikaros Shuppan released “Monthly Airline November 2024,” an A4-size, 152-page book priced at 1,760 yen.

The special feature is “Kansai International Airport Celebrates 30th Anniversary.

Kansai International Airport opened on September 4, 1994 as Japan’s new gateway to the skies. The impact of the offshore airport built on Osaka Bay, the dynamic design of the terminal building, the birth of Japan’s first foreign airlines and new routes, and the foresight to respond to the LCC era ahead of other airports, have made KIX a remarkable airport in each era. This report recounts the memorable 30-year history of KIX with up-to-date on-the-spot reporting and detailed records.

To commemorate the special feature, the monthly airline editorial department will hold a talk event with Daigo Takenobu, who was in charge of photography for the cover and the magazine, at Asahiya Shoten Namba CITY (5-1-60 Namba, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) on October 6, starting at 3 p.m. The event will be held at the Asahiya Shoten Namba CITY store.
