WDI will hold the grand opening of Hard Rock Cafe Kyoto (216 Nakano-cho, Shijo-dori Owa-oji Nishi-iru, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto), a music-themed American restaurant-bar on Shijo Street in mid-December.
A “rock store” selling original goods was opened earlier in February, and a restaurant will be opened on the floor above the rock store, making it a two-floor operation.
Located on the Shijo Ohashi Bridge toward Yasaka Shrine and adjacent to the Minami-za Theater, which is registered as a national tangible cultural property, the store will be designed to fuse Japanese style and rock music, and the concept will be a combination of Japanese tradition and the Hard Rock Cafe, making it a store that both domestic and international tourists and locals alike can enjoy.
