LTR will hold the grand opening of a permanent store, Chiikawa Bakery, on the third floor of Tokyu Plaza Omotesando “Omokado” (4-30-3 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on October 29.
In front of the entrance shaped like Chiikawa’s face, an impressive kamado (a kind of wooden stove) with a long pink chimney is set up. The interior of the bakery is a soft pink base with many illustrations newly drawn for the “Chiikawa Bakery. Characters such as a hachiware and a rabbit also greet visitors.
The bread to be sold will be made under the guidance of Junichi Sawada, who will represent Japan in the bread decorating category of the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie 2026, a world competition for bakers to be held in Europain, France in 2026.
The menu ranges from sweet bread to prepared bread. Face-shaped bread filled with custard, chocolate, and caramel cream; soft-touch French bread sandwiched with face-shaped cookies and cream of characters; face-shaped bread; mouth-watering croquette burgers and coronets, waffles, kurimanjyu buns, financiers, etc.
There are also unique items such as a bowl of “Rou” ramen bread, which is inspired by the “Rou” ramen that appears in the film. In addition, many other original goods will be on sale.
Lottery reservations for in-store visits will be accepted beginning October 8 at 12:00 p.m. Web-only advance reservations include a 1,000 yen shopping coupon.
