On September 23, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions (R/D) with the government of Plurinational State of Bolivia in La Paz on the technical cooperation project, “Capacity Enhancement of Satellite Imaging for Forest Fire Fighting”.

Business Objectives
This project aims to strengthen the information production capacity of the Bolivian Space Agency (ABE) in Bolivia, to strengthen the advisory capacity of ABE to support relevant institutions in utilizing the information produced, and to promote collaboration among forest fire-related institutions including ABE, thereby contributing to a more comprehensive and broader utilization of satellite data-based information. This will contribute to a more comprehensive and broader use of satellite data-based information.
