Daiwa House Realty Management will reopen Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yokohama Koen (204-1 Yamashita-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) on October 11.
The hotel opened in 2009 after rebuilding the “Strong Building,” a historical building that had been in use for about 70 years since its completion in 1938. The location is about a 7-minute walk from Kannai Station on the JR Keihin-Tohoku and Negishi Lines, and is right in front of “Yokohama Stadium”.
In addition to the 241 existing rooms, 26 new rooms of four types have been added: “Style Twin,” which can accommodate small dogs; “Theater Twin,” equipped with a projector to enjoy large-screen images; “Deluxe Twin,” made of warm wood; and “Junior Suite: Hiyori” with a small tatami room space. In addition, the walls and ceilings of the existing rooms have been reupholstered with new wallpaper and floor carpeting.
All rooms will be generously designed with a minimum floor space of 18m2, and all rooms will be equipped with wide beds made by France Bed. Four new types of rooms are equipped with refrigerators/freezers, microwave ovens, and ReFa showerheads. For guests with small children, a diaper garbage can and a crib are also available for rent.
The theme of the lobby is “mid-century modern. The ceiling has been changed to a lighter color, creating a large open space while maintaining a sense of massiveness. The artwork at the entrance was created by artist Shinpei Kashiwabara.
