On October 9, Nomura Real Estate Master Fund Investment Corporation and Nomura Real Estate Commerce announced some details of the Nakaza Kuidaore Building in Dotonbori, Osaka, which is under construction for a full renovation in spring 2025, including the exterior and concept.
A 6-meter “Kuidaore Taro” doll will be installed on the outside wall of the facility as a signboard, and neon tube-like electric decorations and LED visions will be used to create a festive atmosphere.
Each floor of the facility from the first to the third floor has its own concept. The first floor will be transformed into a photo spot with a full-body statue of the well-known Kuidaore Taro, and the ceiling and walls will be designed in Taro’s image colors. a space where visitors can take a rest under neon lanterns.
In addition, the restrooms on the first and third floors will be renovated, and the area around the elevators and escalators will be redesigned to improve circulation.
Tenants have already been announced for the first through fourth floors, and the first basement through second basement floors and fifth through sixth floors will be disclosed at a later date.
