Ltd. will reopen the Pokémon Center Nagoya, the only Pokémon Center in the three Tokai prefectures, tomorrow, October 12.
The new store is located on the 2nd floor of the East Wing of Nagoya PARCO (3-29-1 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan), relocating from the Matsuzakaya Nagoya store, which was open until September 8, and opening after a one-month break. The entire second floor is a space where visitors can enjoy interacting with Pokemon, and the total floor space has been increased to approximately 1.6 times its previous size.
At the pre-opening on the 11th, the day before the event, the inside of the store was shown to the media for the first time. The 600 families and other groups invited by lottery enjoyed the store’s enhanced interior, photo spots unique to Nagoya, and shopping for limited-edition goods.
Pikachu and Celebi greet you at the entrance, and further in the back of the store to the left is a shiny “golden Koi King” statue. The statue’s pose, which pays homage to the “golden Shachihoko” that adorns the castle tower at Nagoya Castle, makes for a great souvenir photo. Other familiar Pokémon are hidden throughout the restaurant.
The “Pokémon Card Station,” where you can enjoy playing Pokémon cards against each other, has been redesigned. The previously chic color scheme has been replaced with a bright white corner that anyone can enjoy, regardless of age or gender.
A variety of events are scheduled to be held in the newly built event space with a large screen monitor in the center. Pikachu and other Pokémon will come to the store for meet-and-greets, game tournaments, fair days, and more. For the monthly event schedule, please check the event calendar distributed in the store, posters, and SNS.
