JR Keihin Tohoku Line, Kamata Station to Shinagawa Station, suspended on November 17. Due to track switching work at Oimachi Station.

Posted on 2024-10-162024-11-04 by Editor in Chief

JR East will suspend all trains on the Keihin Tohoku Line between Kamata and Shinagawa Stations from the first train on November 17 to around 16:30.

On the Keihin-Tohoku Line, rapid service will be suspended and trains will stop at every station throughout the day (approximately every 8 minutes), and at Kamata and Shinagawa stations, trains will turn back toward Ofuna and Omiya, respectively.

On that day, track switching work is scheduled to be carried out on the Keihin Tohoku Line (toward Omiya) in order to widen part of the platform at Oimachi Station. If the work cannot be carried out due to bad weather or other reasons, it will be postponed to December 15, but trains will still be suspended in that case.

During the construction period, the line will be switched to Tokyu Corporation, Keihin Kyuko Line, Toei Asakusa Line, and Rinkai Line. For more details, please refer to the Oimachi Station Track Switching Construction Site.
