Data from September to November, when many people are interested in autumn foliage, were analyzed. On October 16, LINE Yahoo Japan released a report “Capturing Autumn Foliage with Search Data,” which analyzes people’s interest in autumn foliage based on big data from Yahoo! Search data captures this year’s hot autumn foliage spots! search data.

Parks and gardens are popular among young women, while temples, mountains and valleys are popular among seniors.

In order to analyze popular spots by attribute, the company created a scatterplot of the gender ratio and average age of searchers at popular spots and grouped them accordingly.

As a result, the group with a lower average age than the overall group and a large number of women ranked many places such as “˜parks’ and “˜gardens,’ as well as standard spots such as Mt.

The “average age of searchers is higher than the total and there are more women than men” group tended to select more temples and shrines than the other groups.

In the group of “the average age of searchers is higher than the overall group and there are more males than females,” many places for leisure such as mountains, valleys, and lakes were ranked.

Search, keywords such as “autumn leaves 2024” and “autumn leaves Kanto” will display information on autumn foliage throughout Japan in tabs such as “recommended spots” and “search by region” at the top of the search results. The current status of color change is indicated by five types of icons: “green leaves,” “beginning of color change,” “autumn leaves at their peak,” “beginning to fade,” and “falling leaves,” and is updated twice a day during the posting period.
