On October 21, Oriental Land and JAL launched the JAL Fantastic Journey Express, a specially painted aircraft themed around Tokyo DisneySea’s new Fantasy Springs theme port, on domestic routes.
Prior to departure, a ceremony was held on a stage in the JAL hangar at Haneda Airport, where JAL President Mitsuko Tottori said, “The world of Disney fantasy has been expressed on a large aircraft,” and she hoped that passengers would enjoy the special world view of the new theme port on board.
Kenji Yoshida, President and COO of Oriental Land, expressed his expectations for the launch of the “JAL Fantastic Journey Express,” saying, “We hope to play a role in making this a ‘fantastic journey.
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse also made an appearance at the end of the ceremony. They celebrated the inauguration of the new service in their Fantasy Springs costumes.
Onboard, passengers will receive a proof-of-flight sticker to commemorate their flight. The airline will also provide headrest covers and specially designed paper cups, allowing passengers to feel Fantasy Springs up close and personal during the flight.
JAL Fantastic Journey Express” is scheduled to operate from October 21 through November 2025. It will connect Haneda to Sapporo, Itami, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Kagoshima, Naha, and other locations throughout Japan and Tokyo. The first flight will be JAL Flight 323 on October 21, departing Haneda at 15:10 and arriving at Fukuoka at 17:00. After the first day, the information will be released on the website’s “Flight Status Information (Domestic Flights)” in the evening of the day before the flight.
