Air France has renamed its Premium Economy Class to “Premium” starting with the summer 2024 schedule, and has revamped its seat seats and services.
The new “premium” cabin is being renewed in stages and will be installed in approximately 80% of the company’s aircraft by the end of 2025. It has already been installed on some Boeing 777s and Airbus A350s, and will be available on all of the company’s long-haul routes.
The design features upgraded seat cushions, up to 97 cm of legroom, a reclining angle of up to 124 degrees and an adjustable footrest, and more room between seats for greater comfort and privacy.
The cabin interior will be decorated in Air France’s signature navy blue and sky blue, the brand color of “Premium,” with red accent marks on the headrest, cushions, blanket, meal tray, and amenity kit to create an elegant travel experience.
In terms of features, each seat is equipped with a 13.3-inch 4K widescreen. A USB port and in-flight Wi-Fi connection are also available.
The in-flight meal begins with champagne service, and on flights departing from Paris, a Michelin-starred chef supervises the menu using seasonal ingredients. After dinner, desserts such as cream puffs, Paris-Brest, fondant chocolat, and other classic desserts popular in France will be served. In addition, as a snack during the flight, you can also taste ice cream made in the Provence region using traditional methods.
In the spring of 2025, Air France will unveil a beverage menu selected by Xavier Chouisa, who will become the new head sommelier of Air France. The lineup will include wines, beers, and champagnes, with an emphasis on French products.
