Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and JR Tokai will hold the “Sagamihara Linear Festa” on November 9-10 at the new construction site of the Chuo Shinkansen “Kanagawa Station (tentative name)” (2-chome Hashimoto, Midori-ku, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture).
Admission is free and advance registration is required for admission. Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10:00 a.m. on October 28.
On a special stage in the underground construction site, artist Ryuichi Kawamura, “Kanagawa Tourism Goodwill Ambassador,” will give a special live performance (limited capacity), and on the ground stage, Sagamihara Linear Hiroba, the JR Tokai Music Club and local students will perform music, dance, street performances, etc.
In the shield machine launching area, projection mapping of images of tunnel excavation and Shinkansen running will be shown, and there will also be a corner where AR will be used to explain the details of the construction, visitors will be able to experience images of the completed project, and panels of large heavy machinery and past railroad cars will be exhibited.
