To commemorate this event, a variety of Christmas menus with snow and Christmas motifs will be available at three restaurants in the museum from the same day. Visitors can enjoy food and drinks inspired by Christmas scenes from the movie.
Backlot Cafe
At the Backlot Café, located at the midpoint of the Studio Tour, the facility’s first “Christmas Afternoon Tea” (7200 yen) is now available. On a Christmas tree-inspired stand, it is topped with an icing cookie of the hand-knit sweater that Harry and Ron received as a gift from Aunt Molly Weasley (Ron’s mother) in the first film, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Other holiday-inspired sweets and savories will include Buche de Noel, molasses pie, apple sibouste with seasonal fruit, Molly’s sandwich, clam chowder, and more.
Afternoon tea orders include a welcome drink of sparkling wine (non-alcoholic can be selected) and a postcard.
Also on sale is the “Hidden Hole Christmas Cake” (2,200 yen), inspired by the cake that appears on the Weasley family table in the sixth film, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The decoration of the Snowman skating happily on the cake, holding a candle in his hand, is said to be a reproduction of a scene from the movie that looks as if it could move at any moment.
