Qualita, a subsidiary of HIS, will launch an appreciation tour for the 19th International Chopin Piano Competition to be held in October 2025. The lottery will be held from November 5, 2024 at 11:00 to November 19, 2024 at 19:00. The winner will be announced on November 27.
The Chopin International Piano Competition is said to be the oldest and most prestigious of the world’s three major music competitions, and is held once every five years for several weeks around October 17, the anniversary of Chopin’s death, in Warsaw, Poland. In 2025, future pianists will compete in the opening concert on October 2, the opening day of the competition, the first, second, and third round qualifying rounds and finals from October 3 to 20, and the prizewinners’ concert from October 21 to 23.
Tickets for the competition have already gone on sale to the general public and are sold out, but the company has created a special business class tour (Course J) for two people only, which includes the entire competition itinerary and two prize winners’ concerts. In addition, the company will also offer tours (Courses A through I) that can be enjoyed for six days or longer. Prices vary depending on the course, ranging from 348,000 yen per person (based on double occupancy, excluding fuel surcharges and taxes), using LOT Polish Airlines’ direct flights from Narita to Warsaw and back.
