Movable platform railings have been installed at all platforms of the Osaka Loop Line Bentencho and Nishi-Kujo. Gaps between platforms and cars have been reduced.

On October 25, JR West announced the stations where platform railings will be installed in the second half of FY2024 and when they will be in use.

Osaka Loop Line Nishi-Kujo

Bus stop No. 2 (movable): Early December 2024

Platform 3 (movable): Late Feb. 2025

The installation of platform fences has been completed at all platforms in Nishi-Kujo and Bentencho. In conjunction with this, Series 323 car No. 1 door No. 3 and car No. 5 and No. 8 doors No. 1 will be upgraded to reduce the gap between the platform and the cars.

In addition, platform fences (movable type) will be installed at platforms 1 and 2 of Shin-Fukushima on the JR Tozai Line in late November. The new fences are scheduled to be in use in FY2026.
