Half-price on Tohoku and Hokkaido Shinkansen Hayabusa and Hayate in December. More discounted seats are also available to/from the Tokyo metropolitan area.

JR East and JR Hokkaido will sell “Shinkansen e-Ticket (Tokudate Special 21)” which offers 50% discount for Tohoku and Hokkaido Shinkansen “Hayabusa” and “Hayate”.

The period of use is from December 11 to 25, and sales are from 10:00 a.m. one month to 11:50 p.m. 21 days prior to the boarding date. In addition, you can apply for a seat at the Ekinet advance registration desk from 14:00 one week before the start of sales (on the same day) to 9:54 one month before the boarding date (this does not guarantee a seat).

The fare for Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto to Shin-Aomori is 3,750 yen instead of the usual 7,520 yen; for Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto to Morioka, 6,610 yen instead of the usual 13,240 yen; and for Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto to Sendai, 8,870 yen instead of the usual 17,750 yen.

The “Shinkansen e-Ticket (Tokuda Value 14 and Tokuda Value 1)” for Hayabusa trains departing from and arriving at the Tokyo metropolitan area will also have a larger number of seats available during the same period, with Tokuda Value 14 (25% discount) available from 10:00 am one month to 11:50 pm 14 days prior to boarding and Tokuda Value 1 (5% discount) from 10:00 am one month to 11:50 pm the day before boarding. Tokuda Value 1 (5% discount) is available from 10:00 a.m. one month prior to the boarding date to 11:50 p.m. the day before. The fare for Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto to Tokyo is 17,410 yen (Tokuda Value 14) instead of the usual 23,230 yen.
